Q: WHY LEASE?
Leasing Allows You To "Pay As You Go."
Leasing enables you to pay for revenue generating or cost-saving equipment as it is used.
Leasing Covers All Equipment Costs.
This includes the furniture, delivery, installation, etc., meaning there's no need to obtain financing elsewhere.
Leasing Conserves Working Capital.
Leasing allows for minimal cash investment; normally just the first and last payments in advance. Cash is not tied up in the equipment, keeping it free for income producing investments.
Leasing Preserves Credit Lines.
Keep valuable bank credit lines available for future business opportunities.
Leasing Fights Inflation.
Lease payments are fixed for the term of the lease and will not increase if interest rates increase. Your leasing costs remain the same, no matter how much prices rise. You pay for today's needs with tomorrow's dollar.
Lease Payments May Be Tax Deductible.
In many cases, lease payments may be a fully deductible business expense.

Q: WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW REGARDING USED FURNITURE?
Used furniture is a general catch-all phrase for furniture that has been previously owned. Before buying used furniture, it is important to understand what the seller is offering you. The main categories of used furniture are As-Is, Refurbished, and Remanufactured.
As-Is refers to furniture that is re-sold in the same condition as it was purchased from the original seller. No improvements or very minor improvements have been made to the furniture. As-Is used furniture is the least expensive option for purchasing used furniture.

Refurbished furniture has been aesthetically improved by the re-seller from its original purchase condition. Refurbished furniture offers a mid-price range for used furniture, and moves closer in price to equivalent new furniture costs.

Remanufactured furniture has been re-built by the seller from its original condition. Component parts may have been replaced or rebuilt. Remanufactured furniture is the most expensive used furniture option, and is often equal in price to equivalent new furniture.

Will I be able to buy the sizes I need ... when I need them?
Because used furniture has been re-purchased from a previous customer, it is typically available only in the size or configurations they needed. This may or not represent what you need, when you need it. As a result, there are often hidden costs in trying to make their parts and pieces fit your specifications. And availability is not assured for those inevitable add-ons in the sizes and finishes you need.

What is the warranty on used furniture and who stands behind it?
When it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. The stories of people buying name brands like Herman Miller and Steelcase at 70%- to 80%-off list prices are very misleading. Remember that even when a name-brand product is offered as "Completely Re-Manufactured," it is still considered used furniture, and with used furniture, factory warranties don't apply. For example, while the used furniture you are purchasing may have originally been made by Herman Miller, it is now backed only by the person or firm from whom you purchased it from.

Will the electrical system be safe and will it solve my needs?
If the seller is presenting the product as re-manufactured, confirm that all electrical products are U.L. listed and of current 4-circuit technology. Used furniture in many cases will contain used electrical components. You'll want to make sure there has not been too much wear and tear. Has the wiring ever been overloaded? Overheated? Is the ground wiring and insulation still in tact? If you are purchasing new electrical with used furniture, determine if you are getting a new warranty. This may be difficult to verify. Most important of all, review your intention to purchase used furniture with your insurance company.

What does One Office Furniture recommend regarding used furniture?
After almost four decades in the office furniture business, it is our experience that As-Is furniture offers the best value in used office furniture. With Remanufactured and Refurbished furniture, the "hidden costs" associated with the purchase can often drive the final price higher than simply purchasing new furniture. Remember if it seems too good to be true, it usually is.

At One Office Furniture we believe that As-Is furniture offers an excellent low cost alternative for the following buyers:
Small businesses (15 or fewer employees) or home offices
Buyers who expect to use the product for a maximum of 2 to 3 years
Companies for whom price is the primary concern
Product warranty is not a concern
Matching current furniture with future furniture is not required
A uniform and consistent look is not a factor

Q: HOW DO I KNOW WHAT TO USE FOR CLEANING OUR FURNITURE?
The Association for Contract Textiles (ACT) has established the following "cleanability codes," which describe the proper method for cleaning seating materials based on the content of the fabric.
If you're unsure of the cleanability code for any seating you've purchased from One Office Furniture, simply contact your account representative for more information.

S - Spot clean, using a mild, water-free solvent or dry cleaning product. Carefully follow instructions on such products. Clean only in a well-ventilated room. Avoid any product containing Carbon Tetrachloride, which is highly toxic. Pre-test a small area before proceeding. Use professional furniture cleaner when an overall soiled condition is reached.
SM - Spot clean, using a mild, water-free solvent or dry cleaning product. Carefully follow instructions on such products. (DO NOT BRUSH.) Clean only in a well-ventilated room. Avoid any product containing Carbon Tetrachloride, which is highly toxic. Pre-test a small area before proceeding. Use professional furniture cleaner when an overall soiled condition is reached.
W - Spot clean, using the foam only from a water-based cleaning agent, such as a mild detergent or non-solvent upholstery shampoo. Apply foam with a soft brush in a circular motion. Vacuum when dry. Pre-test a small area before proceeding. Use professional furniture cleaner when an overall soiled condition is reached.
W-S - Spot clean this fabric, either with a mild solvent or a water-based cleaning agent. When using a solvent or dry cleaning product, follow instructions carefully and clean only in a well-ventilated room. Avoid any product containing Carbon Tetrachloride, which is highly toxic. You may also use an upholstery shampoo product or the foam from a mild detergent. With either method, pre-test a small area before proceeding. Use a professional furniture cleaner when an overall soiled condition is reached.
S-W - Clean the fabric with the foam only of a water-based cleaning agent to remove overall soil. Cleaning by a professional furniture cleaning service only is recommended. Many household solvents are harmful to the color and life of the fabric. To prevent overall soil, frequent vacuuming or light brushing to remove dust and grime is recommended.
LEATHER - Clean only by vacuuming or wiping with a slightly damp cloth to prevent accumulation of dust or grime. Water-based foam or solvent-based cleaning agents of any kind may cause excessive shrinking or fading.
